Adani ports and special economic zone in India is one of the largest ports in the country. They have informed that they will no longer be receiving or sending cargo to the ports of Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan from 15th November. Also, they have announced that they can no longer handle the cargo which comes from these three countries. They have also mentioned that this advisory will be extended towards all third parties involved in the trading procedures at Adani ports.
The companies which are included within the Conglomerate of Adani will also be forbidden from handling the cargoes from these three countries.

No Reason Given By Adani Ports Yet
The company has yet not provided any specific reason for this particular decision. They have announced that there have been thoughts about the stakeholders in their minds. The decision has also come from the Adani Group after 3000 kilos of heroin was confiscated from one of their ports in Gujarat. The amount of heroin that was found would have cost 200 billion dollars.
When questioned about this incident, the Adani Group had mentioned that they do not have any jurisdiction to check the cargo that passes through their ports. Millions of cargoes leave the port at a single interval and it is not possible to check each of them under suspicion of smuggling.
