Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, along with his respectable supporters and leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain, hoisted 5 flags on the 75th Independence day, at five different venues. As the Prime Minister made his speech at the Red Fort, the leaders of AAP moved from East Kidwai Nagar, Rani Bagh, East Vinod Nagar, Kalkaji, and Dwarka. Three of these areas are under the constituencies of the three leaders of AAP who had made their visits for flag hoisting.

The leaders remembered different parts of their struggle on the occasion of Independence day while hoisting the 115 feet tall flag in East Kidwai Nagar. Mr. Kejriwal became nostalgic on the 75th Independence day when he spoke about the non-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare just a few years back, near the same area. He spoke about the way in which the tricolor flag has a special place in the hearts of Indians. Mr. Kejriwal has also stated that the love for Tiranga has led to several Indians laying their lives for the nation without any second thoughts.

Importance Of Tiranga

The aim behind hoisting Tiranga in different parts of Delhi has also been explained by the Chief Minister of Delhi. Mr. Kejriwal has stated that on this 75th Independence day, any person who is out for work or leisure must be able to see the flag and instill a sense of patriotism within their hearts. The leaders have also extended their gratitude to the front-line health workers of the nation who have been instrumental during the Covid crisis. Delhi government has been celebrating this year as the Deshbhakti year when several tricolor masts will be installed in different parts of the city.
