It is indeed a sigh of relief for the Indians as the total number of cases has finally come under the 1 lakh mark. There have been 86,498 cases in the last 24 hours, and the positivity rate has fallen to 4.62%. The government has announced that there is no imminent danger for the children from coronavirus. This improvement has been seen for the first time in the last 63 days. It is a time for us to celebrate, but not without forgetting the precautions with the vaccine doses.

Placing Orders For 44 Crore Vaccine Doses In India

The central government has announced that it has placed about 44 crore vaccine doses of Covaxin and Covishield from the respective manufacturers. This has included the 25 crore doses from the Serum Institute and 19 crore doses from Bharat Biotech. The central government has also announced that it will procure the state facilities and provide inoculation to everyone above 18. This will be done free of cost so that everyone gets the jab of life.

Capping The Vaccine Prices At Private Hospitals

It has grown into quite a nuisance that the private hospitals are charging more from the people. Private hospitals cannot charge more than 150 INR for the vaccines. The prices cannot be declared singularly by the private institutes. At present, the vaccines are provided at 600 INR for Covishield, 1200 INR for Covaxin, and 948 INR for Sputnik V. Each of these vaccine doses must be provided for the commoners at 150 INR from the private hospitals without any fail.

No Alarming Concern For The Children

There has been a rumor that the children will be affected by the third wave of coronavirus. AIIMS Delhi Doctor, Dr. Randeep Guleria, has informed that most of the children who have been affected by the second wave of the pandemic either had lower immunity or comorbidities. Other than that, the perfectly healthy children were not even hospitalized.
