For the last four test matches of India in the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship, Delhi is all set to host one of the matches next year, in 2023. This will be the first test match in more than 5 years that Delhi will host, somewhere between February and March of 2023. Here are all the details of the match and the venues for the same.

The four-match test series between Australia and India is called the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which is a test match competition between the two countries. For 2023, the Australian cricket team will be travelling to India for the same. While the traditional series is of 4 matches, it is highly likely to be converted to a 5 match series for future tours and programs from 2024.
And thus, there are venues to be fixed and Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Dharamshala are ahead in the race. While the dates are yet to be decided by the tours and fixtures committee, it is proposed that the first match is most likely to start from Chennai or Hyderabad, followed by the second in Delhi, the third in Dharamshala and the finale is to be hosted by Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Few Final Words
Bengaluru was also a proposed venue but since it had already hosted a test match this year which was against Sri Lanka. Interestingly, the last test match hosted by Delhi was in 2017, against Sri Lanka too.
