These serial killers went overboard in torturing their victims to death and continued with their evil doings. These horrifying serial killers with a lack of empathy targeted their victims and brutally killed them. These heartless serial killers showed no remorse for their deeds. They would indulge in cannibalism, sexual assault, necrophilia and also served the victims’ bodies as souvenirs. Movies have been cast on the most notorious serial killers of all time to spread the word of their evil doings. Ted Bundy, H.H Holmes, Butcher of Rostov are few to name.

1. Ted Bundy

Ted Bundy, originally known as Theodore Bundy, was the assassinator of 36 women in his lifetime. Ted was a handsome hunk. He was surprisingly also well-educated but choose the path of crime and became the most notorious serial killer of all time. He brutally killed women by stabbing them to death. But his looks always gave away. It is believed that Bundy came from a broken family. A traumatic childhood took a toll on his mental health and made him a psychopath. He wasn’t aware of his birth father. He grew up believing his grandmother was his mother and his mother was his sister. 

Ted would lure young women by portraying them as though he needed help. But would end up killing them after he raped them. He committed several homicides in seven states within 4 years. Initially, he was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He later became a suspect of the many unsolved homicides. After a decade of denial, he finally confessed to 30 homicides. He was eventually executed in an electric chair at Florida State Prison.

John Wayne Gacy was a sex offender and serial killer who seldomly performed at Children’s parties as a clown. He was secretly called Pogo or Patches the clown. He lured young boys, kidnapped them, and then brutally assassinated them. He was arrested when his last victim, a 15, year-old boy reportedly went missing. He was accused of 33 murders and sentenced to death. He was executed with a lethal injection. 

3. The Boogey Man

Famously known as the Boogeyman, Hamilton Howard “Albert” Fish was charged for murdering, raping, and heartlessly dismembering children. He was a serial killer, rapist, child molester, and cannibal and one of the most notorious serial killers. He boasted of killing about 100 children, but it is unknown if the statement is truthful. He confessed to three murders and confessed to stabbing two other people. 

Boogeyman was sentenced to death where he was executed by the electric chair on 16 January 1936. He wrote a letter to his last victim’s family. In it, he wrote that he stripped the girl naked. The girl tried all she could to escape by biting and scratching him. But he choked her to death and cut her into small pieces. Later he’d cook it, take it to his room and eat her.

4. Doctor Death

Dr. Harold Shipman a British Physician famously known as Doctor Death was arrested for murders of over 200 victims. No one could ever imagine a family man committing such a crime. In 1972 when he started to practice medicine he claimed lives of around 71 people and more over targeted older women. He also took lives of many men. Eventually, he was arrested, he never admitted to the horrendous sins he committed and later committed suicide by hanging himself to death in his cell.

5. Aileen Wuornos

Aileen Wournos was among the most notorious serial killers. A movie was produced depicting her story Wournos belonged to a broken family. She dealt with a traumatic childhood and went through sexual abuse. She worked as a prostitute in her adulthood and lured men on the highway bridge. But would brutally kill them after looting their possessions. She explained that all of her homicides were in self-defense. Her clients had either raped her or attempted to rape her. She was charged with 7 murders. Later she was sentenced to death and executed by lethal injection on October 9, 2002.

6. Ed Gein

Ed Gein grew up in an abusive household where his alcoholic father abused him and mother provoked him to dislike women and sex. After the death of his mother he began his killing spree. He lured women from local bars and restaurants and murdered them. He was convicted of 11 murders and diagnosed with schizophrenia. He was not in a sound frame of mind to go onto trials. He spent the latter part of his life in a mental hospital and died in 1984. His deeds were the reasons to fuel movies like Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. 

7. H.H. Holmes

HH Holmes was previously called Henry Howard Holmes. He began his crime career by scamming and conducting frauds with insurance companies. In 1886 he shifted to Chicago and switched his career. He worked as a pharmacist. During his practice as a pharmacist, he began to murder people for their wealth. He erected a three-story inn and labeled it as his murder castle. 

His murder castle was a torture cell and comprised of gas lines, soundproof rooms, and trap doors. It was a maze where his victims were tortured, traumatized, and had absolutely no escape. He had installed a surgical table to torture his victims who were women. He would lure them into his castle where he suffocated them to death. Later he would cut them and cremate them in a burner or sell their skeletons to a medical school. Thus becoming one of the most dangerous serial killers of all time.

But they all shared one thing, heartlessness.  And they will forever be remembered for their evil deeds.
