- Delhi continues to be one of the worst affected areas by the coronavirus.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has stated that if the Central Government follows the model he has set up, the entire Delhi population can be vaccinated, within the next three months. About 1 lakh doses are administered every day but, Kejriwal says that if the values are increased by 3 lakh per day, almost 85 lakh people can be, vaccinated within a month. Consequently, according to the chief minister of Delhi, the entire population can be, vaccinated within three months.
Delhi CM Preparation To Vaccinate Whole Delhi
Delhi CM Kejriwal has also urged the central government to provide enough resources to get the testing centers in every part of the city. At present, Delhi province contains 100 vaccination centers. He has asked the central to increase this by about three times. More inoculation processes can be, initiated if 250 to 300 vaccination centers are available throughout the city. The Delhi Chief Minister has also asked for a shipment of 2.6 crore vaccines from the Central Government.
Arvind Kejriwal had stated in his online briefing that his government is trying to mitigate the loss of life, by administering as much of the vaccine as they can, at the moment. People following the Covid-19 social distancing norms will enhance their efforts. The Delhi CM has repeatedly stated that his government will do the best to vaccinate everyone in Delhi within a short period. He has also made it quite clear that it will not be possible to accomplish this if the central government does not extend its hand of support.
The present state of Delhi
The present scenario of Delhi is quite devastating. Statistics have shown that almost every 1 out of 3 people are being tested positive for coronavirus. More people continue to be affected by the second wave of the pandemic. If the vaccination drive does not speed up, more and more people will lose their lives and livelihoods.
Trusting the government
As the government promises, most citizens will be, vaccinated by the end of the next three months. However, we should be extremely careful, and maintain the norms of social distancing and sanitization. Only through collective efforts, we will be able to overcome the effects of this life-threatening virus.
