Despite giving her best in athletics, Dutee Chand failed to qualify for the semifinals. This aspiring Indian athlete ended up last in the heats of 200m in the Tokyo Olympics. Lots of hopes were pinned on Dutee because of her great performances in the international level sporting tournaments in the past. However, it can be said without a doubt that she did her absolute best in the game!
Failure Of Dutee Chand In 100m And 200m Race
Dutee Chand is only 25 years old, and she lost the 100m race in the very first round. She clocked a disappointing 23.85 seconds and came in the seventh position. It was the last position in terms of the Heat 4 selection as well.
The selection in case of heats in the Olympics is done in a way so that the top three finishers of the seven heats will be chosen for the next round. The next three fastest players will be selected for the semi-finals.

It seems that Dutee missed the mark in both of these criteria. She was able to finish at the 38th position out of the 41 competitors on the field. Her second Olympic campaign ended on this sad note.
