Recently, ICC (International Cricket Council) has announced the schedule for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. This particular event was previously scheduled to take place in 2020, but due to the pandemic, it was postponed. Even in recent times, viewing the situation, it was very unlikely to have this event in India. So instead, this will take place in UAE and Oman. There are a total of four venues for this massive event, Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. Though it is not happening in India, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) will hold all the hosting rights for the event.

Schedule Of T20 World Cup 2021

The event is scheduled to begin on October 17th and the finals will be played on November 14th. The qualifier rounds for the tournament will be on the 17th of October and will end on 22nd of the October.

From the 23rd of October, the super 12 round will start and this will end by the 8th of November. The knock-out rounds will take place from the 10th of October.

The first semi-finals will be played in Abu Dhabi and the second will be played in Dubai.

India, as always, will enter the tournament as one of the most favorite and powerful teams with an aim to win the World Cup. The teams have been divided by the ICC into four groups and India is placed in Group-B alongside Pakistan, Afghanistan, and New Zealand.
