Farmers’ Agitation In Delhi Reaches Peak Success In Their Movement

The central government has announced that they had sent a letter to Samyukt Kisaan Morcha or SKM in order to comply with the demands they had made on agricultural and economic grounds. The government has announced that they are ready to agree with the demands of the farmers. This has been a result of the farmers’ agitation and the government hopes that if the demands are met, the farmers will stop their agitation on the streets. The government has also asked the farmers to call off their protest since the government has agreed to fulfill their demands in the present light.

Letters Sent To Farmers’ Agitation

The letter has complied with the five main demands of the farmers’ agitation. The farm laws had been repealed in the last month itself. However, that was not the only demand made by the farmers. There were several other demands related to the minimum supporting price or MSP demanded by the farmers. The Prime Minister and the agricultural minister had been appealed by SKM in order to get their demands fulfilled. The central government had also organised a meeting with the farmers to listen to their demands. It has been clarified that the committee which will talk about the demands of the farmers will include the members of SKM as well.

Details About Protest Carried Out By Farmers

SKM had been carrying out the farmers’ agitation for over one year now. The entire body was made up of 40 farm unions. The farmers have informed that they will be returning to their homes on 11th December. The protest sites in Delhi will be vacated quite soon because the demands have been fulfilled by the government. The farmer leaders have also informed that they will be returning to Delhi on 15th January in order to check whether their demands have been fulfilled by the government or not.
