The new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are available starting at the price of $599 and $899 respectively in the US.

Pixel 6 and 6 Pro

Following the pattern of announcements for Pixel phones, the announcement of this one was also done a couple of months prior to the release date to prevent any leaks. But Google finally disclosed the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro phones on October 19 at the Pixel Fall Launch event. One of the many amazing features that these phones have to offer is their killer Tensor chip. It is a huge take on AI and machine learning. It is designed to fix blurry images using the artificial intelligence installed in the device.

Both Pixel 6 and 6 Pro feature a large black rectangular camera on the back, which is different from the older Pixel 5 and they both run on Android 12.

Pixel 6 will be available in Kinda Coral, Sorta Seafoam, and Stormy Black, while Pixel 6 Pro will come in Cloudy White, Sorta Sunny, and Stormy Black. The phones are overall very sleek to hold and use. The glass appears to have a matte finish all over the phone except the little space above the camera on the rear, which appears to be glossier.

Price And Availability

Pixel 6’s price will start at $599 (roughly Rs. 45,000) and the Pixel 6 Pro has a starting price tag of $899 (roughly Rs. 67,500). The new models are set to hit the stores on October 28 in the US, with pre-orders already taking place.

The Pixel 6 is available in two variants, an 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage model and an 8GB RAM plus 256GB storage model.

The Pixel 6 Pro is available in three variants, a 12GB RAM plus 128GB storage model, a 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage model, and a 12GB RAM plus 512GB storage model.

Tensor Chip

One of the finest features of these new models is the Tensor Chip. The Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) will recognize the unclear or blurry image of the subject as a human face and will further make the necessary adjustments.

It will also fix the white balance of the camera when clicking pictures of objects that are too bright, for example, a sunset. Google has hinted towards the strong translation, enhanced photography, and videography in the advertisements.

Fingerprint Reader

Google has added an under-display fingerprint scanner, ditching the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on previous phones.
