The nation and its players had already shone this year because of the gold brought by Neeraj Chopra in the Tokyo Olympics. The summer Paralympics have been extremely great for India as well. The players have been able to bring back home 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and a bronze medal as well. Avani Lekhara became the first woman in the history of India to win a gold medal in the Paralympics.
