  • With this ongoing situation, we could see the 3rd wave of covid in India if we still don’t implement necessary measures and get the covid vaccine
  • According to Dr Guleria, AIIMS director, the government should strictly regulate measures to overcome the deadly virus.

The second wave of covid 19 viruses has reported an adjustment of how the virus is showing symptoms. These could be coronavirus 3rd wave symptoms. During this time of national emergency, the Director of AIIMS, Dr Randeep Guleria, said on Wednesday that the nation might see a 3rd wave of covid in India if forceful lockdown regulations are not imposed. He further added that the current situation could also become worse if the virus keeps on developing. He also said that a cross-country lockdown for an adequate period is required to cut down infection transmission in the nation.

Guidelines For Suggested Lockdown

  1. Dr Guleria said a region-wise lockdown is something that policymakers must decide as it’s an issue of sorting out everything related to the lives and work and that fundamental services must keep up.
  2. Dr Randeep suggested an aggressive lockdown must be declared in territories where the positivity rate of coronavirus cases is more than 10% or the bed inhabitants are over 60%.
  3. As suggested by him, there must be limitations on travelling for the individuals living in the high covid positivity rate regions to regions with a low covid positivity rate to stop the 3rd wave of covid in India.
  4. Strict limit measures must be set up for an ample time frame as no medical services infrastructure can deal with this sort of a caseload.
