More than 16,000 people have already been evacuated from Afghanistan through Kabul Airlift. Most of the countries are trying to bring their citizens back from the land of the Taliban so that they do not face death at the hands of the Islamic fundamentalist group. Joe Biden, the President of the United States of America, has announced that they will be completing their evacuation process in Afghanistan by 31st August. He has mentioned that the date might be extended later in case the new rulers of the country allow them to continue evacuating their citizens. The entire scenario is in the control of the Taliban forces at the moment.
Rescuing People Through Kabul Airlift
Kabul airlift has been able to rescue several people who no longer wish to dwell in Afghanistan. This includes the families of foreign citizens and even some Afghan families who are no longer safe under Taliban rule.

Joe Biden has informed that the US troops are trying their best in order to finish the evacuation process as soon as possible. Any kind of delay in the process of evacuation will lead to more danger for the US troops. A suicide bombing in the Kabul airport has already led to the death of 13 US citizens who were waiting to be rescued.
