Reading Time: 2 minutes

Highlights

  • Thousands of tourists have flocked to Nainital despite the Covid-19 conditions
  • No protocol is being followed in the state of Uttarakhand to control the crowding
  • The third Covid-19 wave might happen in India very soon.

It is indeed concerning how people never seem to learn a lesson from any of the events which have taken place in the past. Just as the Covid-19 pandemic situation seemed to be getting better, many tourists have flocked to the popular tourist destination, Nainital. The tourists in Lake City have forgotten that the imminent danger of the third Covid-19 wave is well around the corner. The large accumulation of tourists in these places can lead to the rapid spread of the virus. Restaurants, bars, eateries, and other commercial establishments in Uttarakhand are filled with people to their brim.

Third Covid-19 Wave Might Be Appearing Soon

Many tourists have been seen flouting the precautionary rules against Covid-19 in the streets of Uttarakhand. They have not been wearing masks and have avoided social distancing as well. The experts have stressed repeatedly that the third wave is most likely to affect the children or the younger age groups of the population. It is immensely worrying that people have been visiting the tourist places in Uttarakhand without a worry about their children. The protocols have been violated in places like Mall Road, Tibetan Market, and Boating Area. If this continues, the third Covid-19 wave will soon be inevitable.

Gathering Of Tourists In Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand has recorded 49 new cases in the last 24 hours. This is quite less in comparison to the crowd which has accumulated in the state. To tackle this rapid spread of tourists in these areas, the police have become very vigilant over the last few days. They have been supplying masks to people who are not wearing one. The population in each area is also being controlled so that social distancing can be maintained. Passengers are being allowed in hotels if they have a negative RT-PCR test report. These measures can help to control the spread of infection.
