Naira Shah Arrested By NCB For Drug Consumption In Birthday Party

After the horrible drug cartel event in Bollywood, south actress Naira Shah and her friend, Ashiq Sajid Husain are next in the line. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested the two last Sunday following the consumption of charas (Cannabis indica) in a hotel in Juhu, Mumbai.  The NCB officials have informed that they had been tipped off by an anonymous source. The officials searched the room for several hours and found 1 gm of charas in one of the cigarettes rolled up in the room. The amount, although quite less, is definitely subject to a criminal offense in India.

Drugs Found In The Room Of Naira Shah

Naira Shah had celebrated her birthday in the very same hotel that evening before retiring to her room. It is speculated that the two of them, Naira and Ashiq, rolled up the one gram of charas into a cigarette during this time to celebrate the end of her birthday. The raid was conducted at 3 in the morning. The arrests were made in the hotel room itself. The police had worked according to the anonymous tip-off.

The police have informed that they will undertake a serious investigation to see whether Naira has been involved in any kind of drug racket or not. She has been tested with her friend in the hospital as well. Banned drugs have been found in their bloodstream which indicates that they consumed these drugs at her birthday party as well. The local magistrate has provided them bail over drug consumption but the police will continue to investigate the matter as well. They are presently looking for the source of the drugs.

Laws Under IPC 274

According to the Indian Penal Code or IPC 274, the production, storage, transport, selling, or consumption of any kind of narcotic substance that has been banned in India will lead to alleged accusation and several years in jail. The actress, Naira Shah, and her friend were found to have drugs in their possession and their bloodstream showed traces as well. This means that they might face even greater charges.
