The Delta Plus variant has already started to wreak havoc in different parts of India with its virulence. It is believed that the third wave in India will be caused by the Delta variant. In these situations when the government is trying to increase the number of vaccines given every day, this variant may cause infection even if the person is completely vaccinated. 5 cases have been found in Madhya Pradesh till now and one of them has died because of the virus, as per the state medical authorities.

Announcement By The Health Ministry

The Medical Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Vishwas Sarang has announced that out of the five people who had been affected by the Delta+ variant, four had been inoculated. The person who had died was from Ujjain and he has not received any dose of the vaccine. The Delta Plus variant is causing concern in the medical authorities all over the country.

The Severity Of The Delta Plus Variant

There has been no news about the severity of the infection caused by the new Delta Plus variant but it is known that it can resist the antibodies made in the monoclonal order. The genome sequence of this variant shows that there might be several issues related to the vaccines made with the cocktail methods. The woman who had died in Ujjain was 59 years old and had not received any kind of inoculation. The others are currently in home isolation so that the infection does not spread to all parts of the country again.

India is already running the risk of facing the third wave of coronavirus which might turn out to be even more fatal than before.
