On the sixth anniversary of India’s former president APJ Abdul Kalam’s death, M Venkaiah Naidu, India’s Vice President, praised Kalam’s contribution to the country’s space and defense sector. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted some uplifting remarks on Twitter.
Tributes In Tweets Gather On Kalam’s Death Anniversary
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was a unique pinnacle of wisdom and hard work who devoted every hour of his life to developing India, said Home Minister Amit Shah. Dr. Kalam, he remarked, has always inspired the country’s youth to think and accomplish new things. According to the Home Minister, his simplicity and his values would always inspire people to serve the country.
For his contribution to the creation of India’s missile programs, Kalam, who died in 2015, was dubbed “Missile Man of India.”
