Psychologists Appointed For Students After NEET Exam, Tamil Nadu

The controversies surrounding the NEET exam, Tamil Nadu do not seem to end on any count. The government has set up a helpline number that will listen to the grievances of the students who gave the NEET exam. This line has been set up especially to hear the woes of the students who have faced immense amounts of trouble in coping up with the pressure of the exam. The people who are operating the helpline number are focused on providing emotional counseling to the students who are unable to deal with the pressure of the exams and results. It has been found that the pressure level of the students who are repeating the exam is higher than the ones who are writing it for the first time.

Pressure Created By The NEET Exam, Tamil Nadu

NEET exam, Tamil Nadu has been assessed by the government very closely. It has been proven that the pressure levels of the students who are repeating the exam are almost 60 to 70 percent more than the students who are freshers to this extremely tough exam. This has also led to the threat of suicide among the students. The monitoring is being done very closely to avoid any more student deaths in the country due to the undergraduate medical entrance test.

Death Of 3 Students In Tamil Nadu

Three students have already committed suicide due to this extremely strenuous exam. One of the students had committed suicide on the very day of the exam whereas the other two took their lives on the day following the test. This has led to concern in different parts of the country. Is it really worth having exams that might compromise the lives of the students? 

About 60 psychologists and 25 psychiatrists have been appointed for the helpline number in order to coach the students to manage their stress and grief in case they did not get through the exam.
