The Punjab Congress has landed into a new crisis as a recent meeting states that many members have lost faith in the current Chief Minister. 4 cabinet members and two dozen MLAs announced that they wanted him out, as ”he didn’t fulfill the promises he made back in 2017”. The promises of providing justice in police firing cases and arresting the big fish of drug rackets were not fulfilled, which led to trust issues amongst the legislators and cabinet ministers. The loss of faith resulted in this meeting of all members to discuss the future of the party.
Cabinet Ministers Tript Rajinder Bajwa, Charanjit Singh Channi, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, and Sukhbinder Sarkaria expressed their disappointment and urged that Amarinder Singh be replaced as the Chief Minister.
