Rafael Nadal Comes Back In Style In The ATP Citi Open

After a long saga of injuries, Rafael Nadal made a splendid return in the match against Jack Sock in the ATP Citi Open. The 35 years old Spanish left-handed player, who is also a 20 time Grand Slam Champion, made his Washington debut with style. He dispatched the 192nd ranked Jack Sock with a charismatic  6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (7/1) in a thrilling match of three hours. This match entertained more than 7000 spectators in the US Open hardcourt tuneup event.

Rafael Nadal Is Always Plagued By Injuries

Nadal has always been a player with tremendous skills, but he was pulled to the back due to his aggravating injuries. He says that his health is fine now but he needs a little bit of less pain in his foot from now. After losing to the top-ranked Novak Djokovic, Nadal had not played in any of the larger matches. Rafael Nadal has always been prone to injuries in his left foot. He had to skip the Wimbledon and Olympics as well because of the pain in his foot at the moment.

After the match had ended, Rafael Nadal disclosed that the pain is very high and that it is going to hurt him a lot later in the night. He hopes that his foot makes a full recovery before his upcoming matches.
