Ravi Kumar Dahiya has made the name of his village known in the world of wrestling as he finishes second in the Tokyo Olympics. His grandmother had wept with joy as she said that her boy had promised to bring her gold in the Tokyo Olympics. Although this dream has remained unsuccessful for this year, Ravi Kumar has proved that he will be a player known in the longer run. We are yet to see more of his wrestling prowess in his upcoming matches.
Preparations Of Dahiya For The Olympics
Whenever he played his matches, his grandmother seemed to be most excited. After all, her grandson has brought home a medal for India! Dahiya’s father informed that the young player had taken up wrestling in the arena at the age of 6 years. He used to play around with his friends in the farming fields and try his hand in the game before he got into the actual Akhara.

The entire village had high hopes for him as he continued to be one of the brightest wrestlers from the village. It is due to his long-term experience in the game, that he has been able to provide such a spectacular performance in freestyle wrestling in the Olympics this year.
