Cyclones On India’s West Coast
It has been seen before that cyclones are more common in the Bay of Bengal because of the easy formation of low-pressure zones over the sea. The Arabian sea has recently entered the list due to many climatic changes across the world. Researchers have stated that the Arabian sea was initially known as cyclone shy because of its tranquil nature. However, nature is gradually changing its course to accommodate the greenhouse emissions and warming water bodies. India’s west coast cyclone storms have increased since 1891.
Fast Warming Rate Or Arabian Sea
Many climate scientists have stated that the Arabian sea has one of the fastest rates of warming in the tropical oceans. The rate of increase has been steady for 1.2 to 1.4 degrees Celsius. The scientists are worried since the earth does not have an immediate plan of climate control at the moment. Every time a storm cooks up in the ocean, there may not be enough time to be prepared for the event. People cannot be evacuated and, infrastructure will be destroyed every time a storm churns up. More and more cyclones are created on the western coast. Unless we all find a solution to bring down the temperature, these events will continue on a massive scale on India’s west coast.

Yass Following Tauktae In East Coast
These have been the major reasons for the increase of cyclones on the west coast of India. Following Tauktae, the Bay of Bengal has already named another low-pressure cyclone on its premises. It is named Yass. It is the common type of cyclone that has been known to affect the eastern coast of India to a major extent.
