After a long drudge in the past year, there has been a notice about the reopening of schools and colleges in the month of September. Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that since the national capital has had very few cases over the past few months, it might be the right time to open the schools and colleges in order to continue normal education for the students. There has been a severe drop in the total number of cases in Delhi and this has given rise to hope that the third wave may not be that dangerous. Vaccination Drive Amped Up In Delhi
Last Thursday was a significant day for Delhi, as the city recorded only 45 fresh cases. There had been no deaths, and this is a ray of hope after the second wave had hit the national capital. The positivity rate of the infection has been controlled at 0.06% as of now, and this might be taken as a red flag against the advent of the third wave. This means that the government of Delhi is prepared to battle against the effects of the virus even if it comes back strongly.

Delhi has been a frontrunner in the vaccination drive. More than 98,000 people had been vaccinated last Thursday according to the news, and this record lasted for the next three days as well. The capital of India has successfully vaccinated over 14,620,342 people. This is clearly a good sign for the schools and colleges to reopen.
Schools And Colleges To Reopen With Caution
Most of the schools are concerned about the fact that children are not yet vaccinated and that they might be easy targets for the virus. This risk can be reduced to a major extent if the school staff is completely vaccinated.
