Sheer Joy Runs Through The Nation After 19 Medals In Tokyo Paralympics

Last Saturday was a day to remember for all the Indians, as Pramod Bhagat and Manish Narwal brought home two gold medals. It was the 11th day of the Tokyo Paralympics and India has been the proud contender in the sea of rivals with 19 medals. 

Singhraj had settled for a silver medal on the same day, whereas Manoj Sarkar fought tooth and nail to win the bronze. This year has been absolutely splendid for the nation, and it stands 26th in the ranking of Paralympics. Avani Lekhara has also made a name for herself by winning two medals in individual events.

It is a joy to see the specially-abled athletes writing their names in history with wins after wins. The country has bagged 5 gold medals, 8 silver ones, and 6 bronze medals this year.  

Krishna Nagar has also captured the gold in the men’s badminton singles event. The Tokyo Paralympics have indeed been a proud event for India and the athletes who have represented the country.

The nation was wild with joy when the national anthem was played 5 times near the podium. History will mark this year as one of the most successful times in Indian sports!
