Babasaheb Ambedkar had been one of the pioneering Indians who had tried to bring equality in the true sense of the word. He had been one of the progenitors who had brought justice to the Dalits or lower classes of India and had hoped to bring them the opportunities they missed just because of their caste. 1. About Babasaheb
Dr. Ambedkar was the last son of his parents, who had fourteen children. He was born in Madhya Pradesh on 14th April 1891. He founded many parties which could try to bring equality among different classes of India. He fought for the well-being of Dalits, and his social party was named Bahishkrit Hitakarini Sabha. From the backward class, Babasaheb was the first lawyer.
2. First Indian with abroad degree
Despite how society tried to bring baba saheb down, he was always bent on getting a good education. Dr. Ambedkar had completed his degree from abroad in economics. He is also the only Indian whose effigy is linked to Karl Marx in the London museum. This is a matter of great pride for any Indian. The Nobel Laureate, Dr. Amartya Sen, often considered Babasaheb as his father in economics.
3. The credit of Ashok Chakra
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was the first one who suggested adding the Ashok Chakra to the white segment of the Indian flag. The top saffron color of the tricolor symbolizes sacrifice; the white portion beneath signifies peace, and the last green portion signifies the lushness of nature. Babasaheb added the Ashok Chakra at the middle of the flag designed by Pingali Venkata to represent Indian integrity.
4. Educational qualifications
Not only was baba saheb a celebrated economist, but also he was a master in 64 subjects. He was proficient in 9 languages as well. He studied the religions of the world for 21 years, and he compared them selectively. His books are taught in foreign universities to explain the distinction of classes in various societies and overcome these differences. He was a very accomplished student. The degree usually takes about eight years to complete, and he managed to complete it within two years and three months.
5. His works on Buddhism
Babasaheb Ambedkar initiated the rise of Buddhism with about 8,50,000 supporters. This is a historic change in the world as it is one of the largest conversions made in the history of mankind. His work was extended to such great horizons that he was called to be the “Modern Budhha of this age” by Mahant Veer Chandramani. Veer Chandramani was a great Buddhist monk who initiated Babasaheb to consider Buddhism as a religion of love and equality. D. B. R. Ambedkar was the one who painted Buddha’s very first picture in which Buddha’s eyes were open.
6. The Statues Of Leader
Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statue is one of the tallest statues in the world and it stands with pride and integrity to show his influence over the Indian masses. The first statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar was built in Kolhapur in 1950. He was alive at the time of building this statue.
7. The Great Satyagrahi
Although we have to come to know the word “Satyagraha” or fast for truth from Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was the first person in the world who had performed Satyagraha. He drank nothing other than water during this period. He was known for his staunch beliefs inequality. He drafted his ideas in the constitution as well when he drafted it.

Babasaheb Ambedkar had written many books during his lifetime which received great popularity because of their close association with reality.
- This leader had written over 32 books. His personal library Rajgirh had about 50,000 books.
- “Waiting for Visa” written by Babasaheb is one of his books taught at Columbia University.
- He also received the degree of “Doctor all Science” from the London School of economics, which is very tough to receive.
- In the world, the largest number of books and songs dedicated to change for positivity are written with his name.
- Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is also named fourth among the humanist people in history by Oxford University.
- Finally, books like “Problem of Rupee, its Origin and Solution” about demonetization and “Annihilation of caste” are also written by Dr. Ambedkar.
