SSC Intermediate Exams Canceled In Andhra Pradesh Under Court’s Order

Given the current pandemic situation, most of the states are trying to shield their students from the infection. The exams of the 10^th standard had been canceled in most parts of the country and the central board has been quite wise in canceling the 12^th standard exams as well.  This was after the Supreme Court itself raised questions about the validity of exams during this period. Following up with the norms, “SSC intermediate exams canceled” has not been such a surprise in Andhra Pradesh.

SSC Intermediate Exams Canceled Along With Boards

The apex court of Andhra Pradesh has announced that the intermediate exams have been canceled for the time being. The intermediate exams will be held only after the Supreme Court passes a decision. The court has also informed that the declaration of the results must be done by the 31st of July. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has complied with the rules which have been set up by the Supreme Court. A stipulated time frame will be provided to the authorities for taking the exams after the pandemic recedes somewhat.

Steps Taken By The Andhra Pradesh Government

Initially, the Andhra Court had been against the cancellation of the exams, but the precautionary measures stated by the state government have not convinced the Supreme Court. The authorities had finally informed that if the Supreme Court does not agree with the precautionary norms, the exams will not be held for the 12^th Board. The life of the students might be in danger if enough precautions are not taken. The Supreme Court had strictly stated that if the state government is not able to provide enough safety for the younger generation, there is no question about the exams being taken.
