ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022
This year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is hosted by Australia after the match was kept on hold for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the top eight teams according to the ICC T20 rankings are already given entry to the Super 12 stage, including India, the bottom teams will have to compete with each other to secure a position in the same.
Before these, all 16 teams are set to play T20 World Cup Warm Up matches prior to the official commencement of the series. The list of the top 8 teams is:

Team India is ready and geared up to secure a win in the T20 World Cup 2022 tournament. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, all 14 players have reached Australia and started their practice with full vigour and enthusiasm. The Board of Control for Cricket in India even shared a picture of the Indian Team on the grounds of Australia, practising during their first training session.

T20 World Cup Warm Up Matches
All the teams participating in the tournament will be playing warm up matches in Melbourne and Brisbane. From 10 October 2022 the warm-up matches for non-qualified teams will start while the top 8 will play on 17 and 19 October.
The T20 World Cup warm up matches will not have an international status though. The first team pairing for warm-up matches is the West Indies and UAE. First in team India’s T20 World Cup schedule is the warm-up matches. India is all set to play two warm up matches in Australia, the first one on 17th October 2022 with the host country, Australia and the second one on 19th October 2022 with New Zealand at The Gabba. Following that, team India has five main matches scheduled. The list is as follows:
- India vs Pakistan, 23 October 2022 at MCG, Melbourne
- India vs TBA, 27 October 2022 at SCG, Sydney
- India vs South Africa, 30 October 2022 at Perth
- India vs Bangladesh, 2 November 2022 at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

In India and its subcontinental countries, the T20 World Cup can be watched via the Star Sports network. Star Sports will also be broadcasting the live coverage of all the matches including T20 World Cup Warm Up Matches on Disney+Hotstar, the digital platform.
