BJP In Uttar Pradesh

The ruling party BJP which has the upper hand is all set to retain power in the state of Uttar Pradesh to keep its legacy intact. Further, it has been rattled by a series of resignations of two ministers and four MLA’s to be precise.

Swami Prasad Maurya, a staunch believer, and leader of the OBC led the rebellion in BJP and joined the saffron party after resigning from BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party). After Swami Prasad Maurya’s exit, Dara Singh Chauhan, another minister also announced his decision to resign from Yogi Adityanath’s Ministry. Dara Singh Chauhan at present represents the Madhuban assembly in the Mau district. Post the exit of Swami Prasad Maury, the BJP saw many more resignations coming up. Om Prakash Rajbhar, another OBC leader claims that a few more ministers would resign from the Yogi Adityanath Cabinet and the number of resignations might touch 18 by January.

The BJP leaders have allegedly accused the party of negligence towards Dalits, backward communities, and traditional farmers, hence suggesting that more ministers might resign and turn towards other parties.
