The story is not yet done as the ripped jeans Uttarakhand CM controversy is still remaining. Mrs. Rashmi Tyagi, wife of Mr. T.S. Rawat has defended her husband’s remark claiming that the whole context is being overlooked.
She further explains, “He (Tirath Singh Rawat) said that women’s participation is unprecedented in building the society and the country. It is the responsibility of the women of our country to save our cultural heritage, save our identity, save our costumes,” Mr. Tirath Singh Rawat earlier claimed that women who wear ripped jeans lack values and what will they teach their kids.
The statement received a lot of negative responses from politicians as being distasteful, shameless, and derogatory to a woman’s sartorial choices.
It is also hoped that the situation will not be required in the entire country once again. With the election dates approaching for West Bengal, Assam, and Tamil Nadu, it will be difficult to maintain the conditions of absolute lockdown in every state. With time, we hope that the scar which has been left by the coronavirus will be healed.
We have to maintain the precautions that can save us from it. The only hope for us now is to trust the vaccine and our health workers for a better future. Coronavirus in India lockdown has already harmed many families. We hope that this will end soon.
