What Is  The Purpose Of LIC IPO?

Despite its smaller size, this is India’s largest initial public offering (IPO). It follows Paytm’s initial public offering (IPO) last year, which raised Rs 18,300 crore. LIC is valued at Rs 6.07 lakh crore in the IPO.

Successful bidders will get shares on May 12, while failed bids will receive a refund on the same day. By May 16, shares will have been credited to the Demat account, and the stock will begin trading on the secondary market on May 17.

“Given the limitations of the market, LIC’s IPO is of adequate size.” “The LIC IPO would not suffocate the market with capital or monetary supply,” said Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Secretary, DIPAM, the government body in charge of investments and divestments.

Analysts forecast record Demat and dealing openings in the coming days as a result of the IPO’s increased investor engagement. Many brokers have already witnessed huge user mobilization. Axis Securities, for example, claimed it established roughly 45,000 accounts only for the IPO last month. Customers who are newcomers to the market account for 40% of the total.

“With the LIC IPO approaching, we expect May to be the busiest month for demat account registrations in recent memory.” “It’s a watershed moment for Indian capital markets, and it’s likely to attract millions of new investors,” Paytm Money CEO Varun Sridhar said. “More significantly, given the public’s faith in LIC throughout the years, many of these investors are projected to come from tier 2 and 3 cities.” This was all about the question, i.e  when will LIC IPO release.
