The sad demise of Female activist Kamla Bhasin has left the world in shock. She breathed her last on 25th September. Many activists working to voice the needs of women and peace have taken it to social media platforms to express their grief at the death of such a monumental personality. The 75 years old activist was very well-known in the realm of women’s rights and peace. She was widely regarded as an inspiration because of the work she had done in India and Pakistan. The aged activist had always stated that the issues of women go beyond borders and that voices must be raised against every act of injustice.
Works Of Female Activist Kamla Bhasin Over Time
Kamla Bhasin had been suffering from cancer for a long time. However, this deadly disease could not stop her from virtually attending the different programs which advocated women’s rights and peace. She was a regular member in most of the South-Asian conferences. Activist Kavita Srivastava broke the news on social media with a tweet. Activists like Prashant Bhushan and Beena Sarwar had mentioned their grief over the death of Bhasin on social media as well. Most of them have shared their moments with Kamla Bhasin and talked about her contributions to the world of activism.

Lalita Ramdass and her daughter, who are both much regarded in the world of activism, expressed their sadness over the death of Kamla Bhasin. Kavita Nandini Ramdas had written a song about the fight and plight of women in different countries across the world. She has talked about the joining of arms for women in different areas of the world. This will bring forth the voice of unity and create bridges of love amongst different sectors of oppressed people. The streets of Delhi rung with the chants of “Hum Bharat ki Nari Hain, Phul Nahin, Chingari Hain”, which means “We are the women of India, we are not flowers but sparks of fire!”
