As the time approaches, we are taking more and more steps into the greeners means of technology to sustain life on earth. We have tried to reduce the pollution content caused by the vehicles on earth, which has consequently helped rebuild the ozone layer on earth. This has been a promising step into the future. At the same time, alternative energy sources are thought for the vehicles on earth so that the pollution content reduces even more. One such vehicle is the electric vehicles. Let us get to know more about it.
Companies To Introduce Electric Vehicle In India
There has been a rise in the use of electric vehicles in India as the rate of pollution has reduced drastically in Delhi after using these vehicles. About 1% of India’s entire locomotive force is based on the use of these electric vehicles. The entire automotive sales, in this case, are also attributed to the efforts that the Government of India takes.
The Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid & Electric Vehicles Policy (FAME Policy) of GOI wishes to increase these electric vehicles’ reach in India many folds by the year 2030. The entire industry is focused on developing the technology, understanding the demand, and producing EVs.
Switch Delhi Campaign
Delhi is considered to be one of the most polluted cities in the entire world. The use of petrol and diesel-based vehicles is so high in Delhi that the national capital is always under a smog layer (smoke and fog). The Switch Delhi Campaign has been initiated to change the mode of common transport in Delhi from petrol and diesel-based vehicles to electric vehicles.
Policy for 2030
It is aimed by the Government of India to improve the penetration of the Indian Electric Vehicle to about 30% of the entire locomotive force in India by 2030. It is also hoped that the country will develop vehicles that are way more advanced than the present.
However, wanting and developing are two different aspects. There are quite a few barriers to the propagation of this kind of vehicle in India. If the government can improve this industry’s skill basis, the work will proceed at a faster rate.
Electric Vehicles In India
It is a very welcoming step that India has decided to use methods that can reduce the rate of pollution in an overpopulated country. Most countries must try to adapt the methodologies implemented by India to control pollution. Only by working together can we build greener earth that will be safe to live for our future generations.
