Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born 5th of September, 1888. He was a scholar and philosopher and an excellent teacher. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was;

  • the first Vice-President
  • the Second President of the country India.

His birthday was declared as a teachers’ day in order to honour him and remember his outstanding approach toward his students. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan majored in Philosophy at Madras Christian College, Chennai. He then worked as a professor in another college in Chennai – “Madras Presidency College”.
