Many people have made history and have been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. Some have set some of the most unusual and weird world records in history. Some of them are listed below:
1. The Longest Tongue
Nick Stoeberl holds the Guinness world record for the longest tongue in the world. Since 2012, Nick Stoeberl, or “The Lick,” of Monterey, California, has held the Guinness World Record for possessing the longest tongue, measuring 10.10 cm. So bizarre!
2. The Stretchiest Skin
Since 1999, Garry Turner has held the record for the stretchiest skin. Garry Turner from the United Kingdom can extend his tummy skin to 6.25 inches due to a rare medical ailment known as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a connective tissue disorder in which the collagen becomes faulty, resulting in skin loosening and hyper-mobile joints. When he extends his skin, he feels no pain.
3. The Longest Fingernails
Lee Redmond possesses the world’s longest fingernails. In 2008, she broke the world record. Lee Redmond of the United States took over 30 years to grow her nails out. She first began growing her nails in 1979. In case you’re wondering, her nails are 28 feet and 4 inches long when all of her fingernails are together.
4. The Longest Mustache
Ram Singh is the world record holder for the longest mustache. Ram Singh Chauhan of Jaipur, India, boasts the world’s largest mustache, measuring 14 feet. In 2010, his facial hair was measured on the set of the Italian TV show “Lo Show Dei Record” in Rome, Italy. And he hasn’t cut it in 37 years.
5. The Beard Carrying Weight
Antanas Kontrimas of Lithuania holds the world record for the heaviest weight carried by a human beard. That is correct. Antanas lifted 63.80 kg with his beard in 2013. Shocked? During his performance, he lifted the show’s host.
6. The Hairiest Family
In the year 2000, the Ramos Gomez family set the record for the hairiest family. Victor Gomez, Gabriel Ramos Gomez, Luisa Lilia De Lira Aceves, and Jesus Manuel Fajardo Aceves are four members of a Mexican family of 19 people who have congenital generalized hypertrichosis (excessive facial and torso hair). They are also the hairiest family in the world, according to Guinness World Records.
7. The Oldest Male Stripper
In 2002, Berne Barker became the oldest male stripper in the world. Berne Barker, a former real estate agent, began stripping in the year 2000, at the age of 60, to stay in shape after overcoming prostate cancer. With that, he earned the Guinness World Record for being the oldest male stripper. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2007 at the age of 66.
8. The Can Opener
In 2012, this parrot set a global record for opening the most cans in one minute. Sounds impossible, yet Zac the Macaw demonstrates that it is. In 2012, he set the world record for opening the most cans in one minute in San Jose. He opened 35 cans, which is extremely impressive.

9. The Longest Legs
Maci has the world’s longest legs, according to Guinness World Records. Maci Currin of the United States is only 17 years old, but she has already established a global record for having the world’s longest legs (female) and the longest legs on a teenager in 2020. Her left leg is 135.267 cm (53.255 in) long, whereas her right leg is 134.3 cm long (52.874 in). She is 6 feet 10 inches tall, but her legs account for 60% of her whole height!

Sandeep Singh Kaila holds the world record for the most time spent spinning a basketball on a toothbrush. Sandeep from Canada performed the strangest thing imaginable. In January 2019, he set a world record by spinning a basketball on a toothbrush for 1 minute 8.15 seconds.
