Following the struggle of 41 days, Raju Srivastava Comedian, sadly, lost his life today at the AIIMS Delhi. One of the most popular names in the nation’s greatest comedian’s history, Satya Prakash Srivastava, who was widely known as Gajodhar Bhaiyya, suffered a cardiac arrest on the 10th of August this year.
The Demise Of Raju Srivastava Comedian
While working out in a gym in Delhi, the comedian suddenly complained of acute chest pain and was immediately rushed to the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) of the state. The doctors carried out angioplasty for his condition following which, his condition seemed to have remained stable with the help of the ventilator.
But soon after, he suffered from post-cardiac arrest complications. Having never regained his consciousness since then, today, however, he was finally declared medically dead and was put to rest in peace.

Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Raju moved to Mumbai in the 1980s with an aspiration to be an actor. He played small yet fun roles in the movies like Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Baazigar (1993), Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa (2001) and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2002).

Career Of Raju Srivastava As A Comedian
While dabbling in movies, Raju also entered the field of stand-up comedy and took part in the talent show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in the year 2005. This was a turning point in his career as he garnered immense popularity and appreciation for his knack for clean comedy. He ended up being the second runner-up of the show.
Since then, Srivastava never looked and continued to appear in various comedy shows like Comedy Circus, Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala, Comedy Nights with Kapil and Gangs of Haseepur. RajuRaju, along with his wife Shikha, had participated in the dance show Nach Baliye too and had almost been a contestant on the reality show, Big Boss.

Political Career Of Raju Srivastava
Looking into his political career, Raju Srivastava Comedian had been a part of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2014. Prior to that, he was also given a ticket by Samajwadi Party to contest for the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections from the Kanpur constituency which he returned citing the lack of support. Later in 2019, he was appointed as the UP Film Development Council’s chairperson by BJP.
