The Bond That Got Restored
Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor didn’t share a strong bond for a long time. Rishi Kapoor even admitted once in an interview that he had ‘screwed up’ things with Ranbir. But time heals everything, and as years passed, Ranbir and his father grew close. Especially at the time when Rishi was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, Ranbir didn’t think twice and immediately made all the arrangements for his father to get the best treatment in New York.
While Rishi was talking to a leading daily, he stated that he didn’t even have time to react to this quick move of Ranbir. He stated that it was on his sixth-day shoot of a new film when Ranbir Kapoor and a close family associate came to the shoot location in Delhi, and talked with and explained the situation to the producers. By evening, he remembers that he reached Mumbai and then was taken to New York. Rishi stated that he didn’t even have time to think twice about the situation as he was forced into the airplane with Ranbir by his side.
While talking to a journalist, Ranbir Kapoor stated that he still is dealing with the sorrow and trying to cope with his father’s loss.
