Snap Inc, the main company which has designed the Snapchat features, is now introducing a set of goggles for the shared experience of augmented reality. These will not be sold right now. Rather, the company is looking for shared creators who can make this feature even better with time. Other than the AR spectacles, the company is also introducing Connected Lenses that can allow two people to share the experience of augmented reality.
Snapchat Spectacles Or AR Spectacles
The Snap Spectacles are supposed to bring a sense of augmented reality that is conducive to the real world. This will be shown to the user based on the real world they are in. The CEO of Snapchat has stated that the features are similar to the filters used in Snapchat. The effects of augmented reality will be added to real life with the help of these spectacles. The example that has been given is related to throwing a stick at a dog which does not exist, although it will bring back the stick in your eyes.
Equipment Added To The AR Spectacles
Evan Spiegel, the CEO of Snap, has also stated that the glasses are not yet for sale. The glasses have been designed with a 3D guide wave and 26.3 diagonal views. Immersive lens experiences can be obtained with these flashes. They can even adjust to light and brightness when one moves from outdoor to indoor.
The spectacles have RGB cameras fitted on each side, along with microphones and stereo speakers. The front-facing camera is responsible for showing the best possible view. You can use these systems with the help of voice commands as well. The surfaces are usually recognized with the help of these cameras and sensors.

Transformation Into Lenses
Spiegel has already stated that the new spectacles can combine with the lens studio and build better AR lenses. These can be connected with the other users as well to share the sense of augmented reality. Rapid testing and iteration of these features are yet to be done but, it is expected that with time, the spectacles can be changed into a lens-like model for a better experience.
