Many questions have already arisen about the game, including the very basic details about launching dates. 

Why Do People Think Data Transfer Is Possible?

Krafton has not yet announced whether the previous data from PUBG can be carried to the new PUBG Battlegrounds mode or not. Most of the players are extremely hopeful that they will be able to transfer their points, costumes, characters, and weapons from the previous PUBG games which they had played. Since only a few weeks are left before the probable launch date, players are getting anxious as Krafton has been tight-lipped on this matter.

Most players are hopeful that the transfer might occur smoothly, but there is no ground for this data transfer in reality. The hope has been built in minds because Battlegrounds is built by a South Korean company with more or less the same designs as PUBG had about a year before its ban. However, PUBG was a game designed by a Chinese conglomerate that has no relations with this South Korean company. Therefore, despite the hopeful desires of the gamers, it is quite probable that the weapons and skin earned in PUBG India will not be accepted or transferred on Battlegrounds.

Some Hopes Remain For PUBG Battlegrounds

There are some hopes that the data might be preserved from Battlegrounds as the data from the last version can be accessed in Krafton accounts if you use a VPN. One can still play games on the Krafton PUBG version in secrecy. Most gamers have been using this system since PUBG was banned entirely in India.
