Like every year, this year too the celebration of the 8 October Indian Air Force day 2022 is to be held in Chandigarh, with the parade having moved the venue from Hindon Airbase.

In 2022, this year will mark the completion of 90 years of the Indian Air Force and its establishment. Thus, India is all ready and geared up for the Indian Air Force day 2022 celebrations of its 90th anniversary.

Indian Air Force, also known as ‘Bhartiya Vayu Sena’ was inducted officially during British rule as a supporting wing to the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom. This took place on 8th October 1932, fifteen years before India’s independence.
And since then, the great soldiers and aircraft of IAF have been working tirelessly to protect our motherland. To pay respect to them, on 8 October Indian Air Force Day is celebrated with a motive to create awareness and showcase our military prowess.
