Due to Covid-19, the Republic parade this year will start with a delay of 30 minutes from its scheduled time of 10 am. The parade will begin at 10:30 am instead this year.

- There will be 8 contingents of the Indian Armed Forces in the Republic Day Parade. It will include 6 contingents of the Army, one each from the Navy and Air Force. The Parachute regiment contingent will also put on new combat uniforms with the most recent Tavor rifles.
- A sum of 21 tableaus will be showcased in the Republic Day parade.
- There will be a total of 16 marching contingents there. Out of these 8 will be of the Indian Armed Forces, four of Central Armed Police Force and two of NCC, National cadet Corps and one each of NSS and Delhi Police.

Covid Effects On Parade
- The Parade which begins at Raisina Hills and marches through Rajpath to India Gate and concludes at Red Fort will only march till the National Stadium this year in the view of COVID-19. Only Tableaux will march up-till the Red Fort.
- Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, the number of troops in marching contingents for the Republic Day parade has been deducted from 144 to 96. The troops will march in 12 rows and 8 columns.
- Due to COVID-19, the parade has been shortened for the marching contingents to National Stadium which previously terminated at the Red Fort.
