Delhi government needs employees to fill around seventeen thousand vacant positions through direct recruitment. Various departments have vacant job postings that are yet to be filled. There are 17,256 openings for Delhi government jobs, according to the officials.
Vacancies For Delhi Government Jobs
Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has recently announced that 17,256 vacant job positions are open for direct recruitment. These Delhi government jobs are spread across different departments that come under the government.
Out of 17,256 posts, 10,980 will be filled by government agencies like Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB).
How Will The Remaining Vacant Job Seats Be Filled?
It is believed that the various departments will be sending requisition to the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) shortly, to fill the remaining Delhi government jobs that stay vacanct (6,276 to be exact) in service groups A, B and C. However, no official notice from any department has been dispatched yet.
The services department team under the guidance of Naresh Kumar, who is the Chief Secretary of Delhi, has put forth a list containing all the vacant Delhi government jobs after carefully collecting the data from different categories of various departments under the Delhi government.
Naresh Kumar, has ordered all the departments across various categories with vacancies to send requisitions to Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board and Union Public Service Commission agencies and fill the vacant job postings within three months.
Every Head of the Department (HOD) will send a fully furnished certificate to the department of services within the next three months, which will contain the requisitions that are required for every recruitment agency. This information was made known to the public through an order that was issued by the services department.

Deemed abolished
The Delhi government jobs that remain unfilled for more than two years will be “Deemed abolished”. On the other hand, postings that were newly created by the departments and which were still not filled for more than two years, starting from the date of its establishment, will also be “Deemed abolished”.
Conclusion
The process to fill out the Delhi government jobs with vacant positions will begin only after the particular department is approved by the competent authority. Without approval from the respective authority, the process will not be undertaken.
