Four People Arrested In The Lakhimpur Kheri Case

There has been some development in the Lakhimpur Kheri case. Four people from BJP have been arrested for this particular crime. The incident had been related to the death of eight people in the Lakhimpur Kheri district. Four of the victims were mowed down by Governmental SUVs while protesting against the farm laws. The other four victims were two BJP workers, a driver, and a journalist. 

The four people who have been arrested include Sumit Jaiswal, Shishupal, Nandan Singh Bisht, and Satya Prakash Tripathi.  They had been arrested by the Lakhimpur Kheri police force on 17th October. These four have been arrested along with the son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra.

Licensed Revolvers Found In Jaiswal’s House

Licensed revolvers were found at the residence of Sumit Jaiswal. He is a major follower of the BJP and he has been working in the party for a long time as well. He had been seen in a viral video escaping from the scene where the SUV had run over the farmers.

Sumit Jaiswal had also filed an FIR against the farmers who had killed his friends and other BJP workers in retaliation for the mowing down. Sumit Jaiswal had accused that some unnamed farmers killed the BJP workers as revenge for the violence that happened in the this case.

Arrest In Lakhimpur Kheri Case

Earlier, the farmers had accused that Ajay Mishra’s son, Ashish Misra had been present in the SUV which had run over the farmers. Ashish Mishra had been arrested on 9th October. His arrest had been conducted after a rigorous questioning of 12 hours.

This questioning had been commenced after the intervention of the Supreme Court. It is expected that the Lakhimpur Kheri case will be seeing some development with the arrest of these people.

It is expected that there will be a fair probe into the Lakhimpur Kheri case now. The Supreme Court has taken a special interest in the case by now.
