Saurabh Bharadwaj And Atishi To Succeed Manish Sisodia And Satyendra Jain As New Delhi Ministers

The Appointment Of New Delhi Ministers

After the resignation statement of Manish Sisodia, the chief minister and the AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has made all possible arrangements by sending the necessary documents of Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj, Delhi legislators and prominent leaders of AAP to lieutenant governor v k Saxena for the appointment in the place of Manisha Sisodia and Satyendra Jain. 

These 2 leaders are in custody in corruption cases and have now stepped down from their positions in the Delhi cabinet. A meeting was called by the chief ministers and there was a discussion about the ministerial berths and other challenges. The 2 names of the new Delhi ministers that are replacing Manisha Sisodia and Satyendra Jain are Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj.

Who Is Saurabh Bhardwaj?

Saurabh Bhardwaj is expected to hold the command in place of Mr Manish Sisodia as Deputy Chief Minister. He is currently the vice chairman of the Delhi Jal Board and represents Delhi’s greater Kailash constituency and is also a chief spokesperson of the Aam Admi party. Also, he served a tenure of 49 days in 2013-14 in the cabinet ministry. 

Who Is Atishi?

Atishi is expected to replace the duties of Mr Satyender Jain as a Health Minister. She is presently an MLA from Kalkaji and is a reputed member of AAP in the political affairs committee. She has also served as an advisor to Mr Sisodia on the issues of education from 2015 to 2017.

Other Delhi Ministers

Raaj Kumar Anand, a Delhi minister, is currently in charge of the sectors of health and schooling, which are the AAP’s main areas of emphasis. The crucial departments of electricity and water supply are under Kailash Gahlot’s management.

The Resignation Of Manisha Sisodia and Satyendra Jain

Last night, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, Sisodia, who oversaw up to 18 ministries, and the health minister, Jain, resigned. After the Supreme Court denied Mr Sisodia relief and instructed him to defend his imprisonment in the alcoholic policy issue in Delhi High Court, the resignations followed shortly after.

However previously as an opposition BJP has constant nagging on the question but why the two minister’s positions in the cabinet ministry despite being in the corruption case enhanced led to their imprisonment.

Therefore as an answer to the question raised by the opposition, the AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said that the resignation letters are a part of the administrative step and do not only show an act of guilt acceptance.
