The Indian skipper managed to score an unbeaten 86 runs from 75 balls. This was the top score of the match as well. Mithali Raj managed to secure the spot of the highest run-scorer across the entire format in women’s cricket.

Even before Mithali Raj grabbed this fantastic win for the team, Smriti Mandhana was the one who caught the eyes of every viewer. She was splendid in her fielding and pulled off a great catch, thus obtaining the wicket of Natalie Sciver at 49 runs. The gallery and other players were in awe when Smriti Mandhana took the catch with apparent ease but complex style!
The catch took place in one of the most crucial hours in the game. The 38th over was going on and Natalie had to face the bowling of off-spinner Deepti Sharma. Her aim was to shoot over the cow corner boundary and this is where Mandhana made her plan. Her sprint in the direction of the ball and the full-length dive to catch it made it a fantastic catch of the match!
