Amidst 382 nominations for several awards including some of the most coveted American Music Awards and the Grammy Awards, the American Hip hop star has made in his name 15 Grammy Awards, outshining his contemporaries with his talents. But, even after winning such an incredible number of awards, which his contemporaries can only dream of in their wildest of fantasies, why Eminem hate Grammy Awards? Why Eminem Hate Grammy Awards?

The fans witnessed Eminem rapping “You think I give a damn about a Grammy? Half of these critics can’t even stomach me, let alone stand me” from his single”The Real Slim Shady” as his name was nominated for Album Of The Year, Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Performance From A Duo Or Group, and Best Rap Album.

Amidst his controversial criticism of the most coveted Awards Show, his fans found themselves confused about whether their musical God will ever mark his presence in the show! But, in response to all the confusion and disturbances against his rap, the rap God in one of his interviews with the leading entertainment channel said, “It’s hilarious, you know what, and that’s why I’m going to go. It’s because everyone doesn’t want my ass there, so I’m going to sit my stinking ass down next to ‘N Sync and flick pennies at them and f*cking just stands in everybody’s face and says, Kiss my ass.“

Eminem And Sway Calloway – What The Hip Hop Legend Has To Say About The Grammy Awards?

Amidst the conflicts and boycott of the Grammys by the majority of the leading singers of the US music industry, Eminem in his interview with Sway Calloway said that he’s tired of seeing the Recording Academy cheating on the hip hop stars. He quoted, “For whatever reason, they’re always pitching this hint that you might win album of the year, which used to be a big deal. I don’t think it’s a big deal now.” He also added that the Grammys suck the blood out of the artists to attend their shows and perform their best performances, only to return empty-handed and feel cheated.

Eminem again called the show and asked them to stop using the artists as a selling point for their show. He added that every time he attended the show after being nominated, someone else was awarded! After that, he denied attending the show for the rest of his life. He also told Calloway that he sat in his home watching his contemporaries coming home empty-handed, the person who deserved the award was awarded nothing.

While he accepted that he’s ready to lose to the iconic artists such as Kanye West, he’s sick of being used by the show to increase their sales!

While there are a thousand reasons why Eminem hate Grammy Awards, fans witnessed their hero at the Oscars in 2020, after years of missing him at the show. He won an Academy Award for his song Lose Yourself in the movie 8 miles.

While Eminem stated that in his younger days he was not ready to perform at the Oscars, now he has time to do so and thinks it is cool! He also expressed his gratitude to the Oscars saying that “ And also, back at that time, the younger me didn’t feel like a show like that would understand me. But then when I found out I won… That’s crazy! That to me shows how authentic that award is — when you don’t show up and you still win. That makes it very real to me”.
