1. Padmavat

Alauddin Khalji’s desire to catch a glimpse of queen Padmaavati and the consequent battle that breaks out and decimates an entire kingdom is shown in this film is such an amazingly artistic maneuver that the dexterity of the direction and filmmaking would leave anyone astounded by it. Given that it is a Bhansali film, you should expect excellent acting, first-rate directing, and a spine-tingling soundtrack from this movie on Indian history.

2. Mangal Pandey: The Rising

The sepoy rebellion that followed Mangal Pandey’s refusal to bite off the cartridge of the greased Enfield rifle marked the start of the First War of Independence in 1857. Although he was ultimately killed for it, this was the catalyst for India’s protracted struggle for Independence. The same is depicted in the film beautifully.
