Highlights
- Earth is facing a global temperature rise ever since the industrial revolution
- The threshold value of temperature has been reached in the past few years
- It is accounting for many climatic changes all across the world.
Rising temperatures have always been a concern for the global climate. The global temperature is increasing ever since the industrial revolution, which is quite concerning over the past few years. There has been a report by the United Nations that the overall temperature might rise by 1.5 degrees Celsius since the pre-industrial period, and it will be taking place in the next five years.
Global Temperature Reaches The Threshold Value
No one expected that the threshold value of 1.5 degrees Celsius would be reached so soon. Scientists declared that we are too close to the threshold value of global temperatures, and it should act as a wake-up slap rather than a wake-up call for those who are still not aware of the ongoing situation. It is expected that there would be a quick slash in the greenhouse gas emission that would bring the temperature under control to some extent.
It is also expected that one of the warmest years in human history will be upcoming in the next five years. There have been some ups and downs over the last few years, but it never indicated it would happen so soon. However, since we are closer to the feared temperature rise, it is best to take enough precautions for the entire event.

Statement by NASA
Gavin Schmidt, the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York City, has commented that the change was relatively inevitable, but inertia can be established with the global temperature. The place where the entire world went wrong is in the place where we have never tried to cut down on greenhouse gases. Rather we stayed in the position where we stood about two decades ago.

Effects Of Temperature Rise
Due to the rise in global temperatures, several events have changed across the world. The marine temperature has increased in many places. It has led to a greater number of low-pressure cyclones all around the world. It is indeed very devastating for human life.
