The Sreebhumi Sporting Club in Kolkata had decided to come up with a special themed event for this year’s Durga Puja festival. They had made their name across the state by designing Kolkata’s Burj Khalifa. The design had been a replica of the building in Dubai. The spectacular light and laser shows are the reasons for the huge popularity of this pandal all across the state.
Due to repeated complaints about the laser show, this has been banned in the city for the next few days of the Puja. The pandal had already attracted a large crowd and the authorities were unable to contain this crowd. Along with this, there had been some complaints from the Kolkata Airport as well regarding the laser shows at Kolkata’s Burj Khalifa.

Organizers Have Complied With The Request
The organizers of Kolkata’s Burj Khalifa, the Sreebhumi Sporting Club members have mentioned that they have taken the complaints into account. They have also made sure that the laser show is stopped so that there is no kind of inconvenience for the planes leaving from the airport in Kolkata. The laser strobe lights have been completely shut down.
Along with this, only the lights which have been adjoining the pandal are now kept lit for the occasion. The Lake Town area of Kolkata is now lit only with the complementary lights of the pandal.

Indeed Disappointing
Kolkata’s Burj Khalifa pandal of Sreebhumi Sporting Club had indeed been one of the best attractions of the Durga Puja carnival this year. The cancellation of the event is bound to leave the crowd feeling extremely dejected.
