According to the news which has been received till now, the theatres and auditoriums of Maharashtra will be reopening from 22nd October as part of Maharashtra unlock, as tweeted by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The standard procedure which has to be followed by the theatres and auditoriums will be issued very soon. It is expected that with control over the spread of the infection, it will be easy to conduct the unlocking process. The religious places will be opening from 7th October. The state government is approaching the issue very carefully in order to make sure that there is no sudden spark in the spread of the virus again.

Need For Maharashtra Unlock In A Phased Manner

Maharashtra unlock has to be carried out with the utmost care as it is one of the states which has been worst struck by the pandemic. The slew of restrictions was placed in March this year as the second wave of the pandemic had attacked the nation. The curbs had started to reduce over a period of time, but in June the state government had finally decided to stop the places of worship and cinema halls from opening. Mass gatherings were strictly banned in the state to prevent the infection’s spread to a greater degree.

Maharashtra unlock will lead to the opening of these places, which is required in order to avoid the daily loss of 400 crore INR that is being faced by the industry at this moment. Films have always been a great source of revenue for Maharashtra. The closure of the theatres has certainly led to a gross economic downfall.
