The Modi government is trying to push several new bills in the ongoing monsoon session of parliament that starts from 29th July. Among these 23 bills, 6 are already introduced while 17 will be new, where 3 of these 27 bills are included to replace old ordinances. The ongoing session will run for 19 days and the government has listed 17 new bills to be introduced during the session.
The BJP government has been facing a big uproar from the opposition to disrupt the session considering the key issues such as farmer’s protest, hike in the price of fuel, e.t.c. While the introduction of 17 new bills will serve as an important passage for the BJP government.

Modi government plans to introduce these 17 new bills in this 19-day long session:
- The Essential Defence Services Ordinance 2021
- The Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Bill, 2021
- The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- The Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- The Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Amendment Bill, 2021
- The Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Amendment) Bill, 2021
- The Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection, and Rehabilitation) Bill, 2021
- Indian Marine Fisheries Bill, 2021
- The Inland Vessels Bill, 2021
- The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens (Amendment) Bill, 2019
- The National Institutes of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Bill
- The Tribunal Reforms (Rationalisation and Conditions of Service) Bill, 2021
- Central Universities (Amendment) Bill
- Chartered Accountants, the Cost and Works Accountants, and the Company Secretaries (Amendment) Bill, 2021
